POKER TOURNAMENTS ON TV

Poker fans have good reasons to be happier than ever, as it seems that every day they are a growing number of poker tournaments broadcasted on the TV.

In fact, one of the tournaments more popular in America, the United States Poker Championship, celebrated in Atlantic City has just announced a new deal with the cable channel Spike TV which will broadcast the mentioned tournament during the next five years.
With this new deal, the tournament organizers hope to increase their popularity among the players, as the number of participants has decreased during the last years. The competitions had been previously retransmitted by ESPN, but they stopped two years ago, which has influenced the lost of popularity of the tournament.

Tom Gitto, tournament director, is really excited with this new deal, and has already communicated that previous competitions to the main one will also be broadcasted in order to attract a higher number of players.
